Conroe High School has a rich and storied history that spans over six decades. Founded in 1964, our school began as a small educational institution serving the growing community of Conroe, Texas.
The school opens its doors to 450 students with a faculty of 25 teachers. The original campus consisted of three buildings on Davis Street.
The football team wins the school's first state championship, establishing a tradition of athletic excellence that continues today.
A major expansion adds the Science and Technology Wing, modern library facilities, and the Performing Arts Center.
Conroe High receives National Blue Ribbon School recognition for academic excellence and student achievement.
A comprehensive $25 million renovation updates all facilities with state-of-the-art technology and sustainable features.

The Conroe High School Chapter of the National English Honor Society (NEHS) is a prestigious student organization dedicated to promoting excellence in English, literature, and writing while fostering leadership, creativity, and community service. The chapter is supervised by faculty advisors who guide members in planning and implementing projects, including Ms. Jane Doe and Mr. John Smith (English Department), ensuring that activities align with both school values and NEHS national standards.
The National English Honor Society (NEHS) is a prestigious nationwide organization that recognizes and encourages students who excel in English studies, literature, and writing. NEHS promotes academic achievement, leadership, creativity, and a passion for reading and communication, connecting students from schools across the United States.
Membership: Students are invited based on outstanding performance in English courses, leadership qualities, character, and commitment to service. Activities: Members participate in national and local writing contests, monthly meetings, community service projects, scholarship opportunities, and various literary and cultural programs designed to enhance skills and inspire lifelong learning.
Members participate in a wide range of activities such as peer tutoring, book drives, literacy campaigns, reading events, poetry and creative writing workshops, literary contests, and school-wide service projects. The club also organizes community outreach initiatives that encourage students to apply their communication skills to make a positive impact beyond the school campus. Leadership opportunities include coordinating events, mentoring younger students, and representing Conroe High at district and national NEHS events.
